Since 1989, J. Raymond Construction Corp. has been a trusted partner for construction needs throughout the Southeast US. The foundation and success of the company has been built through servicing their clients the R.I.G.H.T way: with Respect, Integrity, Golden Rule, Humility & Trust.

Over 30 years later the company Founders, John Raymond Sofarelli and Russ Suddeth, have ensured that the next generation of leadership will continue its outstanding service and remain committed to these core values.

The company is proud to announce that Jon Roemer and Dan Cramer are now Principals of the company. Jon Roemer has been named Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and oversees the company’s Preconstruction & Estimating services. Dan Cramer is President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) and will oversee the Company’s construction operations. John and Russ, as Founders of the Company, will continue to assist the J Raymond Team with its ongoing development and strategic initiatives.

J. Raymond is also pleased to announce that Tom Borgia, Scott Mellen, and Adam Spiewak are Partners with the organization and remain an integral part of the leadership team. The J. Raymond Legacy continues and looks forward to another generation of exceeding its clients’ expectations.

J. Raymond Construction Corporation was founded by John Sofarelli in 1988 based on the core values of respect, golden rule, integrity, humility, and trust.

Raymond Construction has become one of the most recognizable construction companies in the Southeast, delivering diverse facilities such as grocery stores, shopping centers, medical offices, banks, and warehouses, entertainment, attractions, pharmacy/distribution. Our commitment to the local community is one of the things we are most proud of as a company. We have been able to partner with nonprofits such as Habit for Humanity and iBuild Central Florida in order to provide affordable housing and to help people learn more about the construction industry. Pathways To Care is another partnership we are extremely proud of, as they provide housing services to military veterans. Our founder, John Sofarelli, is on the board at the University of Florida and is a guest lecturer at the university.

Sustainability. Commitment.

We take sustainability very seriously, and we have embraced the concept in our construction. To our team, sustainability means both the preservation of the environment and the efficient use of resources to ensure the longevity of a project. Sustainable buildings have a positive long term environmental impact, by generating less waste and lowering the consumption of energy resources. Sustainability isn’t a onetime concern—we believe that it needs to be considered in all phases, from design, construction, operation, and maintenance. Many of our J. Raymond Construction employees are LEED certified.

Safety. Commitment.

J. Raymond Construction is committed the providing a safe work environment for our employees and subcontractors. That commitment extends to each and every one of our projects and to every individual who steps foot into one of our buildings. Our priority is to make sure that each project is accident free. In order to ensure the safety of each project, we maintain strident safety regulations and utilize extensive training programs to greatly reduce the potential for hazardous outcomes. "Keeping our team members safe involves leadership and visibility from managers, communication and accountability from employees, and education and guidance to keep everyone updated on the latest safety measures." Each employee needs to be empowered to identify work conditions that could potentially be unsafe. Accidents are preventable, and J. Raymond strives to lower the number of accidents on each project to zero.
